Publicis/FKA/CRMOne – Creative Director 2022-present

Working at an agency that loved to change its name (we’ve also been known as FKA and CRMOne), I’m proud to have been the Creative Director for Verizon Business Group as well as Visible Wireless. I also helped us win business with UBS in 2023, launching their banking presence in the US.

For Verizon Business / Fios, I led a team of 10+ talented writers, designers and art directors to create a tremendous volume of very successful direct marketing emails, landing pages, SMS and even some supercool direct mail. Think nobody does direct mail anymore? Not true. I also won a 2023 ANA Award for the Fios Digital Quote Email Journey and a 2024 Stackie Award.

Rauxa – Associate Creative Director 2018-2022

I worked as Associate Creative Director and Senior Copywriter for TGI Fridays, Blue Shield of California, and multiple brands within Verizon, both consumer and small business, including Verizon Accessories and the Verizon 5G launch. And did I mention those Fridays Big Ribs? They’re big.

I helped develop the new voice and tone for Verizon and created emails, sites, social campaigns and videos for clients and pitches. I wrote much of the Rauxa.com site.

DigitasLBi – Associate Creative Director 2013-2017

I worked as an Associate Creative Director and Senior Copywriter on some of the most successful and high-profile work at DigitasLBi, in two time periods: 2000-2007 and 2013-2017.

  • Videos for The Muppets and actress Kristen Bell, to promote American Express Small Business Saturday

  • Digital work for School of Rock, AOL, American Express, and Ameriprise Financial

  • Scripts and storyboards as well as post-production on TV spots and videos for AstraZeneca, American Express, and The New York Times

  • Social content for Comcast, Travelers, and others

 

Publicis Modem – Senior Writer 2012

In 2012, I helped create Citi’s Every Step of the Way program, sponsoring a dozen amazing athletes to the Olympic Games. Most fun of all, I interviewed the athletes for the videos.

 

Blast Radius – Creative Director 2008-2011

I helped launch several new products for the biggest client at Blast Radius/Wunderman, Microsoft — including Windows 7 and Office 2010. I created the 2010 Windows 7 slogan, The New Efficiency. I created social strategies and launched new product content for Huggies, Crystal Light, and Bacardi.

 

Digitas / Digitas Health – Senior Writer, ACD 2000-2007

Working on Pfizer’s smoking-cessation drug, Chantix, I helped create the web site and interviewed the creator of Chantix. For Abilify, I wrote animated videos. For Viagra, I created their first direct mail pieces and banner ads.

 

FILM & VIDEO

I wrote and directed the feature film ‘The Bride in the Box’, streaming wherever you get your favorite movies. I co-wrote the Matthew Broderick/Alan Alda comedy ‘Diminished Capacity’ (Sundance premiere). Short films include ‘Focus Group’ (Gold Remi Award, Worldfest Int’l Film Festival), ‘Kubuku Rides (This Is It)’ and ‘Policy of Truth’. I directed the award-winning comedy shorts ‘The Doctor Cares’ and ‘COP-DOC’. I’m a member of Steppenwolf Films.

I’ve written for Comedy Central (300+ episodes of Short Attention Span Theater), A&E, The History Channel, SpikeTV, and The Smithsonian Channel.
